About Us

The East Tennessee Waterfowl Association was formed by a group of dedicated sportsmen who have grown tired of complaining about the lack of public hunting areas in East Tennessee.  Instead of viewing our region and saying "If only somebody would..." or "This could be a great spot if...", we decided it was up to us to see if something can be done.  Who better to roll up their sleeves and get things started than waterfowl hunters?  However, this will NOT be easy.  Many factors are at work against us:  urban sprawl, dense populations, inflated real estate prices/low availability.  Even portions of our geography are against us.  But it CAN be done if we will come together and work hard at it.  Agencies such as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the Tennessee Valley Authority can and must do more, but they can not do it all.  There are areas where we must take up the slack and bridge the gaps.  Won't you join with us in working to insure the future of waterfowling in our area and in making East Tennessee the best it can be?
